Meeting Minutes
IDAMHC Membership Meeting of June 18, 2008
President Lois Cant called the membership meeting to
order. There are no minutes for May 14th as the meeting
was cancelled. Secretary Arlea Alvarez read the minutes of the
previous meeting. The minutes stand as read with no additions or
corrections.
Treasurer Gwynne Shaw reported: Beginning Balance:
$2827.49; Credits: $70.00; Debits: $81.75; Ending Balance:
$2815.74. Motion to accept the report was made by Hazel Andrews and
seconded by Rene Gunderson. Motion carried.
Bills totaling $70.00 were presented and a motion was
made by Hazel Andrews and seconded by Tina Purdom to pay the bills.
Motion carried.
Renewal of club insurance was presented and a motion
was made by Rene Gunderson and seconded by Pam MacFarlane to renew
insurance. Motion carried.
One renewal membership from July Lay was received and
approved by the executives.
Unfinished Business:
The meeting room at Sunrise Café is booked on
Wednesdays so a unanimous decision was made to hold our club next
meeting on Thursday, July 24th, 7:00 p.m.
All present were in favor of August 10th
for annual club picnic date, Middleton Park from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Lois Cant will contact the city for reservations. Arlea Alvarez
will organize the event and be reimbursed from club funds for food
purchases regarding main course. All side dishes and beverages are
pot luck.
Committee Reports:
The September 20th IDAMHC/ISHSA show bill
was presented and a motion was made by Rene Gunderson and seconded
by Lee Clark to approve show bill. Motion carried. Gwynne Shaw
volunteered to run silent auction for this event.
New Business:
None at this time.
For the Good of the Club:
A 2008 list of events to remember was provided to all
attendees.
Lee Clark announced the 4H Club members entered the
Kids Parade and won 1st place at Emmett Cherry Festival.
Hazel Andrews announced she placed 2nd, Lois Cant
placed 1st with Mo and Jim Andrews placed 3rd
in the Star Mule Day Parade. Hazel, Jim, Don and Lois participated
in the Fort Boise Parade, Parma, where Lois and Hawk took home the
prize for Best Miniature in Cart Horse.
Lois Cant announced the following:
Oregon-California Trails Assoc. will have their
Jeffrey-Goodale Cutoff Wagon Train event, open to all, beginning
July 8th, ending August 4th. You may join in
for an hour, a day or the entire trip. For details check their

Motion to adjourn meeting was made by Hazel Andrews
and seconded by Pam MacFarlane. Motion carried.
